EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton concludes its six game homestand this weekend hosting Dartmouth & Harvard. The Tigers most recently dropped a 6-2 game to travel partner Quinnipiac on Tuesday night and has played the most games of the thee teams entering the weekend with 10 for a 4-5-1 record and a 2-4-1 mark in the league. Junior Max Veronneau leads the offense with 12 points on six goals and six assists, while linemate Ryan Kuffner has 10 points on five goals and five assists. Seniors David Hallisey and Eric Robinson, along with sophomore Jackson Cressey and junior defender Josh Teves add eight points apiece. The Tigers have the fourth-best scoring offense in the league and rank 18th nationally with 3.10 goals per game. Freshman Ryan Ferland has started in all 10 games in goal and has a .911 save percentage and a 3.07 GAA. The penalty kill is another bright spot for Princeton as it has allowed just five power play goals on 37 chances for a clip of 86.5 percent and ranked 11th in the nation.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth has played the fewest games of any team in the ECAC, a total of seven, for a record fo 2-5. Due to final exams, the Big Green have played just one since Nov. 11, dropping a 2-1 overtime game to Vermont - it's third consecutive loss. The teams wins came during a weekend sweep at home of Brown and Yale. Junior Kevan Kilistoff leads the offense with three goals and three assists for six points. Sophomore Daniel Warpecha and senior Corey Kalk chip in five each as the Big Green ranked 59th nationally in points per game at 1.86 ppg. Senior Devin Buffalo has started in six games in goal and has an .875 save percentage and a 3.56 GAA.
THE PRINCETON/DARTMOUTH SERIES
Princeton is looking to snap an nine-game winless skid in the series with Dartmouth. The Tigers last win was a 5-4 overtime game on Nov. 15, 2013 in Princeton. Last season at Hobey Baker Rink the teams played to a 2-2 draw in November. Overall Dartmouth holds a 103-86-15 edge in the all-time series.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
Harvard looks to rebound after going 0-4-1 in its last five games - all against nationally-ranked squads (Cornell, Minnesota, Boston College and Colgate). The Crimson are 2-5-1 overall and are 2-3 in the league with wins over Dartmouth and Brown. Junior Ryan Donato (BOS) has scored a team-high four goals and adds six assists for 10 points. Sophomore defender Adam Fox (CGY) has seven points, all coming by way of assist. Four other skaters follow with five points apiece. Senior Merrick Madsen (ARI) is the only netminder Harvard has utilized this year. He has a .906 save percentage and a 2.49 GAA. Harvard's scoring defense ranks 10th in the nation, at 2.50 gpg. Even better is its penalty kill - allowing just four power-play goals on 35 chances for 88.6 percent - ranked fourth in the nation.
THE PRINCETON/HARVARD SERIES
Harvard owns a 154-57-11 edge in the all-time series which began in 1902. The Crimson has won the last eight games as the Tigers look for their first win since March 2013, a 2-1 overtime win at Harvard. Last year Harvard posted matching 5-2 wins.
