Incoming Class Should Provide Immediate Strength For Women's Squash Team
June 01, 2017 | Women's Squash
Head coach Gail Ramsay looked at her lineup this past season, saw she had seniors holding down three of the top four positions, and knew she was in for a critical recruiting year.
It turned out to be a highly successful one as well.
The Princeton women's squash team will bring in a trio of top-ranked players who could provide immediate power at the top end of the Tiger lineup next season. They all come from impressive squash families, including one whose older brother is a member of the men's team.
"The team and I are excited to welcome the class of 2021!" Ramsay said. "They will bring a lot of diversity, energy and prospective to the program. We do not only have three recruits for this class, but we added a walk-on and a recruit who is returning from a gap year."
Ramsay and the Princeton Squash family recently welcomed Gracie Doyle, Emme Leonard, and Raneem El Torky into the Class of 2021, and the veteran head coach can't wait to get these newest Tigers on the court to add to an already-impressive array of talent within the program, led by multiple-time All-America honoree Olivia Fiechter.
Zeina Mohamed Elsisy will join the program after being accepted as a member of the Class of 2020, and Ramsay is excited to welcome Mia Rosini as a walk-on to the team.
