Cook '17 Signs Pro Contract in Europe

Steven Cook '17, a first-team All-Ivy League honoree as he helped the Princeton men's basketball team to the NCAA Tournament last season, has become the latest Tiger to continue his career professionally.
Cook has signed with Estonia's BC Tartu, the winner of a league-best 26 titles in the country's national league.Â
While leading the team at 13.6 points per game, Cook was the Tigers' second-leading rebounder at 5.1 per game, shooting .486 from the field and .426 from 3. During his senior season, Cook became the 32nd member of Princeton's 1,000-point club, finishing with 1,148 points to stand 15th in program history. Cook's performance helped Princeton run the table in the Ivy League, going 14-0, before winning the inaugural Ivy League Tournament and taking ACC Tournament runner-up Notre Dame to the final possession in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Cook's new team is located in southeastern Estonia, two hours from the country's capital, Tallinn.Â
