Bushnell Cup Winner Chad Kanoff Posts Strong Pro Day Showing Inside Powers Field Bubble
March 09, 2018 | Football
NFL scouts paid plenty of attention to Princeton quarterback Chad Kanoff during his record-smashing 2017 season, when he broke the Princeton career record for passing yards with 7,510 and claimed the program's 11th Bushnell Cup. Those scouts got an even closer look Friday afternoon, as Kanoff joined former Tiger captain Dorian Williams '17 and Cal-Lutheran's Wendell O'Brien at the 2018 Princeton Pro Day, held inside the bubble over Powers Field.
Fifteen scouts from 12 different NFL teams were in attendance Friday afternoon, and watched the trio go through the standard Pro Day testing before Kanoff began throwing to former teammates James Frusciante and Nick Peabody, as well as O'Brien. His accuracy reminded those in attendance of most Saturdays during the fall, when Kanoff broke the Princeton and Ivy League record for single-season passing yards with 3,474, as well as the Princeton and Ivy League record for single-season completion percentage (73.2%).
Below are the test results for the trio.
Kanoff is coming off one of the most historic runs for a Princeton quarterback. A three-year starter, he earned 2016 All-Ivy League honors while leading Princeton to the Ivy League championship as the starting quarterback of the top-ranked offense in the league. The offense remained at the top of the league in offensive stats in 2017, thanks in large part to Kanoff's record-setting season. You can see a full list of Kanoff's accomplishments here.
