O'Dell Throws PR in Hammer Throw to Open Larry Ellis Invitational

Results
Senior Kennedy O'Dell continues her upward trajectory in the hammer throw. Today on Day 1 of the Larry Ellis Invitational, she won the event with a PR of 60.01 (196-10) – the first in her career throwing past 60 meters. It is the fifth-best throw in Ivy League history, and the second-best throw in Princeton history. She came into the season with a PR of 56.81, surpassing that mark two weeks ago with a 57.89.
Senior Melissa Reed had the best time amongst the Tigers in the 5k. She posted a PR of 16:52.97 to finish sixth. It is the second time this season she has run a 5k and the second time she has re-set her personal best. Starting the season with a 17:04.24, she clocked a 17:02.66 just two weeks ago.
Junior Brighie Leach ran a season best time in the steeplechase, at 10:35.17 to take ninth. Junior Allie Klimkiewicz was two spots back at 10:41.07.
Day 2 begins tomorrow at 11 a.m., with the discus.
