Men's Basketball Postgame Notes • Dec. 14, 2016 vs. Saint Joseph's
• The win for Saint Joseph's tied the all-time series 8-8. Saint Joseph's has won the last two after Princeton won both ends of the home-and-home series in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
• Princeton's .355 clip from the field was its second-lowest of the season.
• Princeton's five turnovers were its lowest since committing just five turnovers in an 85-83 win over Columbia on Mar. 7, 2015.
• Princeton's four blocked shots were a season-high and most since the 2016 season finale at Virginia Tech (four).
• Tonight's game was the third of the season in which Princeton held its opponent below 40 percent from the field but the first such game of the season that Princeton did not win.
• Princeton held SJU to .235 from 3-point range as the Hawks went 4 of 17. The four 3s matched the fewest for a Princeton opponent this season. It was the sixth time in nine games this season Princeton held its opponent below 30 percent from distance.
• Saint Joseph's 58-34 rebounding edge was unusual for a Princeton opponent, as it was the largest margin against the Tigers in that stat in five-plus seasons under Mitch Henderson.
• Sophomore Devin Cannady's 17 points were one off his season-best 18-point effort at BYU on Nov. 14. It was the fourth time this season Cannady led the Tigers in scoring.
• Senior Spencer Weisz upped his assist-to-turnover ratio to 38:7, getting eight helpers without a giveaway tonight. The 5.42 ratio would put him third in the nation, based on the rankings heading into tonight's game.
• Weisz's 10 points and 11 rebounds netted his fifth career double-double and first of the season. He was two assists away from the first recorded triple-double in program history. His rebounding total was one off his career best of 12, last reached in last season's game against Saint Joseph's.
• Sophomore Myles Stephens, in his first career start, scored 12 points and had six rebounds, tying his career best for boards. Stephens, who has scored in every game this season, reached double figures for the first time this season last time out at Liberty (18).
• Junior big man Alec Brennan hit two 3-pointers in a game for the first time in his Tiger career. His eight points were his most since scoring 10 at Hampton last January.
• Spencer Weisz's eight assists moved him past Armond Hill '85 and Weisz's former assistant coach Brian Earl '99 into 10th place on the Princeton career assist list, now with 266. Nate Walton '01 is ninth with 270. The stat has been kept since the 1974-75 season.
• Weisz's 10 points moved him past Will Venable '05 into 30th place on the program's all-time scoring list, now with 1,013 points. Former teammate T.J. Bray '14 is 29th with 1,024 points.
