Lee-J Mirasolo is in her fourth year as an assistant coach at Princeton, joining the staff in the summer of 2011. Mirasolo works primarily with the offense, and also works with the penalty-kill unit.
In her first year at Old Nassau, the Tigers posted a 12-15-4 overall record and finished seventh in the ECAC with a 10-10-2 mark, making its 11th straight playoff appearance. After a tough first half of the season, Princeton had an incredible run after December break losing just once in eight games. Highlighting the season were wins over No. 8 Northeastern (5-3), No. 10 Harvard (3-0), No. 10 Dartmouth (2-1), sweeping Yale and Brown by a combined 16-2, and four shutouts.
The 2012-13 the team just missed making the playoffs, one point out of qualifying for the ECAC Tournament. The Tigers had two top-10 wins during the season, defeating No. 8 Ohio State (2-1) and No. 7 Clarkson (4-1).
The team returned to the playoffs in 2013-14, earning the No. 6 seed after topping No. 3 Cornell in the final game of the regular season. Other notable performances was a tie with No. 5 Boston College, a tie with No. 8 Quinnipiac, and a tie with eventual national champion No. 3 Clarkson on the road in February.
Prior to Princeton, she spent two seasons on the staff at UMass Boston and had a four-year playing career at Boston College. Mirasolo also spent a year coaching at Phillips Andover after graduating and prior to her stint at UMass Boston.
Mirasolo played her college hockey at Boston College, where she was a part of two Beanpot Championships, made two NCAA tournament appearances and advanced to the Frozen Four in 2007. She was named the Eagles team captain for the 2007-08 campaign and was also honored that season as BC's Unsung Hero while receiving the team's Community Service Award in 2005-06.Prior to joining the Beacons staff, Mirasolo served as an assistant ice hockey coach at Phillips Andover Academy during the 2009-10 season. Over the summer of 2010, Mirasolo acted as an Intern Coach at the U14 USA National Camp in Rochester, N.Y. She also served as the strength and conditioning coach for Emerson College's softball team during the 2008-09 campaign.
A native of Wakefield, Mass., Mirasolo graduated with a BA in Communications in 2008.
