BASEBALL
Last week: Defeated Penn 7-1, 6-5 (April 24), defeated Temple 4-1 (April 26), lost to Cornell 4-3, 23-3 (April 28), defeated Cornell 7-4, lost to Cornell 11-10 (April 30)
This week: at Rider (May 3), at Seton Hall (May 4), hosts Ivy League championship series vs. Dartmouth (DH) (May 6), May 7 (if necessary)
Record: 21-17 overall, 13-7Ivy
Highlights
- Princeton clinched its fifth consecutive Gehrig Division championship with the win over Cornell.
- David Boehle (Fr., Redwood City, Calif.) earned his eight save of the season on Wednesday to move break the school record.
- Max Krance (Jr., South Nyack, N.Y.) continues to lead the Ivy League in batting average. He had a three-run home run and four RBIs in the final game against Cornell.
- Against Penn on April 24, Chris Young (So., Dallas, Texas) struck out a career high 10 batters and allowed no earned runs and was named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week.
SOFTBALL
Last week: Split at Villanova 0-3, 1-0 (April 27), Split against Robert Morris 3-5, 10-3 (April 29), Swept at Harvard 2-6, 1-9 (April 30)

Highlights
- Vicki Siesta (Jr., W. Milford, N.J.) hit a two-run triple to open a seven-run sixth inning to lead Princeton to a win over Robert Morris
- Devon Keefe (Jr., Winter Park, Fla.) drove in Lori Volker (Jr., San Diego, Calif.) for the only run in a 1-0 win at Villanova
- Sarah Jane White (So., Winter Park, Fla.) didn't allow a hit in four innings in her start against Villanova? Brie Galicinao pitched three innings of one-hit ball to get the save in the win at Villanova
WOMEN'S WATER POLO

This week: at National Collegiate Championship (May 5-7)
Record: 24-3, 8-0 CWPA
Highlights
- Princeton won its first-ever Eastern Championship with a 6-4 win over UMass in the title game on Sunday. The Tigers won four games on the weekend, 10-4 over Salem-Teikyo, 13-4 over MIT and 13-3 over Villanova.
- Adele McCarthy-Beauvais (Fr., Haydenville, Mass.) scored 17 goals in four games to earn tournament most valuable player honors.
- Goga Vukmirovic (Sr., Sarajevo, Bosnia), Cassie Nichols (So., Santa Barbara, Calif.) and McCarthy-Beauvais were all named first-team All-East. Jenny Edwards (Fr., Houston, Texas) made second team.
MEN'S LACROSSE
Last week: defeated Dartmouth 10-7 (April 29)
This week: at Hobart (May 6)
Record: 9-2, 6-0 Ivy League
Highlights
- Trevor Tierney (Jr., Princeton, N.J.) made 16 saves while allowing two goals
- Sean Hartofilis (Fr., Huntington, N.Y.), Brendan Tierney (So., Princeton, N.J.) and Josh Sims (Sr., Edgewater, Md.) scored two goals each
- Princeton led 9-1 after three quarters
- Princeton clinched its sixth straight Ivy League championship and won its 31st straight Ivy League game
WOMEN'S LACROSSE
Last week : lost to No. 1 Maryland 14-6 (April 26), defeated Brown 10-9 (April 29)
This week: await NCAA tournament selections (May 7)
Record: 13-3, 6-1 Ivy
Highlights
- After losses to No. 2 Dartmouth and No. 1 Maryland, the Tigers bounced back with a 10-9 win over Brown in the regular season finale.
- Princeton will wait for an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament to extend its season.
- Julie Shaner (Jr., Gwynedd Valley, Pa.) scored three goals and added one assist against the Terrapins. She had one goal and one assist against the Bears.
- Kim Smith (So., Baltimore, Md.) scored three goals against Brown, including the game winner with 14:07 to play.
WOMEN'S OPEN CREW

This week: vs. Georgetown and George Washington (May 6)
Record: 9-1, 6-1 Ivy
Highlights
- In the varsity eight race, Princeton crossed the finish line in a time of 7:03.34, followed by Dartmouth (7:08.64) in second and Pennsylvania (7:11.86) in third.
- The Tigers won the second varsity and second novice races. The Orange and Black finished 1-2 in the varsity four event with Dartmouth taking second.
- Princeton hosts Georgetown and George Washington in the final home regatta of the year on May 6.
WOMEN'S LIGHTWEIGHT CREW
Last week : defeated Radcliffe (April 29)
This week: vs. Georgetown (May 6)
Record: 3-1, 2-0 Ivy
Highlights
- In its three year existence as a varsity sport, the women's open crew remains undefeated against Radcliffe with a 22-second victory this morning on Lake Carnegie.
- Princeton crossed the finish line with a time of 7:36.19, while Radcliffe was clocked at 7:58.54. Princeton's novice eight competed in the race as an exhibition, coming in third with a time of 8:03.76
- The Tigers had no trouble in the varsity four event with a 24-second victory.
MEN'S HEAVYWEIGHT CREW

This week: vs. Brown (May 6)
Record: 8-1, 3-1 Ivy
Highlights
- Princeton won its 10th consecutive Carnegie Cup by finishing first in the first varsity race. The Tigers crossed the finish line in a time of 6:02.00, followed by Cornell in second and Yale in third.
- The Tigers also won the second varsity race, finishing in a time of 6:05.1, with Cornell and Yale close behind.
- The Orange and Black won the first freshman race and finished second in the third varsity and second freshman event.
MEN'S LIGHTWEIGHT CREW

This week: vs. Georgetown (May 6)

Highlights
- No. 1 Yale won the annual HYP men's lightweight regatta in New Haven. No. 3 Harvard finished in second while fourth-ranked Princeton finished in third.
- In the varsity eight event, the Bulldogs crossed the finish line in 5:41.30, followed by Harvard (5:43.80) in second and Princeton (5:48.80) in third. Princeton won both the second and third varsity races, with Harvard taking second.
- The Tigers took first place in the first freshman race with a time of 5:55.7. Yale finished in second while the Crimson took third.

- David Benjamin ends his 26-year coaching career with a 7-0 win over Georgetown.
- Kyle Kliegerman (Jr., New York, N.Y.) won at No. 1 singles in straight sets and teamed up with Judson Williams (So., Raleigh, N.C.) for a win at No. 1 doubles.
- Ahn Ahn Liu (Sr., Bellevue, Wash.) ended his career with a win at No. 2 singles and Scott Borenstein (Sr., Santa Monica, Calif.) ended his career with a win at No. 3 doubles. As a doubles team the two await a bid to the NCAA championships.
MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD

- Paul Morrison (So., Chatham, Ont.) finished third out of 23 runners in the 5000 meters. His time 13:55.86 and was .04 seconds faster than the school record.
- Scott Denbo (Jr., Nashville, Tenn.) finished second in the shot put with a mark of 18.24 meters.
- Dennis Norman (Jr., Marlton, N.J.) finished third in the eastern division of the shot put and finished fifth in the eastern division of the discus with a 50.12 mark.
- Jonathan Jessup (Sr., Bryan, Texas) finished fourth in the pole vault with a height of 16' 5".
WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD

- Sharon Jordan (Jr., Brooklyn, N.Y.) placed ninth in the eastern division of the triple jump with a mark of 11.70.
- Holly Huffman (So., Englewood, Colo.) took 31st place in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:07.92.
- Emily Enyon (So., Cincinnati, Ohio) finished the 5000 meters in 17:51.91, coming in 26th for the Tigers.
MEN'S GOLF

- Judd Pritchard (Sr., Fort Worth, Tx.) finished second in the individual competition with a three-round total of 215
- James Milam (So., Idaho Falls, Idaho) was the No. 2 finisher for the Tigers with a three-round total of 224
