BASEBALL
Last week Defeated Rider 11-9 (May 3), Lost to Seton Hall 4-2 (May 4), swept Dartmouth 5-2, 4-3 in the Ivy League championship series (May 6)

Highlights
- Princeton swept Dartmouth in the championship series for its first Ivy League championship since 1996.
- David Boehle (Fr., Redwood City, Calif.) earned his ninth save of the season to extend his school record mark and clinch the championship series.
- Chris Young (So., Dallas, Texas) was the winning pitcher in Game 1, throwing a complete game four-hitter and striking out seven.
- Ryan Achterberg (So., Corona del Mar, Calif.) hit a two-RBI single in Game 2 to score the game-winning runs.
- Jon Watterson (Jr., Keene, N.H.) was 5 for 9 in the championship series.
- Andrew Hanson was 5 for 8 with two RBIs to put Princeton ahead 2-0 in the series clinching game.
SOFTBALL

Highlights
- Vicki Siesta (Jr., W. Milford, N.J.) hit her first home run of the season to lead Princeton to the 4-3 win over Drexel
- Sarah Peterman (Sr., Davis, Calif.) ended her Princeton career with a 1-0 complete-game shutout of Maryland? she recorded double-digit victories in each of her final three seasons
- Brie Galicinao (So., Stockton, Calif.) had two hits and two RBIs in the first win against Drexel and pitched six innings for the win in the second game
WOMEN'S WATER POLO

Highlights
- Princeton finished eighth in the 2000 Collegiate National Championships in Indiana. That is the highest finish in the program's history. Princeton defeated Hawaii 13-11 in the first round. The Tigers fell to No. 1 Stanford 17-7, UMass 8-5 and UC-Davis 8-6.
- Cassie Nichols (So., Santa Barbara, Calif.) scored four goals in the win against Hawaii, including what proved to be the game-winner.
- The Tigers' six defeats were the lowest number of losses all-time at Princeton.
MEN'S LACROSSE

Highlights
- Josh Sims (Sr., Edgewater, Md.) tied his career high with five goals and moved into first place all-time for goals scored by a Princeton midfielder with 96
- Damien Davis (Fr., Cockeysville, Md.) held Hobart's Jamie Breslin without a goal, Breslin had 33 goals coming into the game ? it was the sixth time in seven games that Davis had shut out his man
- Princeton earned the third seed for the NCAA tournament, Princeton has won three of its five NCAA championships as the third seed
WOMEN'S LACROSSE

Highlights
- Princeton is making its 10th NCAA tournament appearance overall and eighth in the last nine years.
- As the No. 2 seed, the Tigers received a first-round bye and will host the quarterfinals at the Class of 1952 Stadium. Princeton will face the Duke-Dartmouth winner.
- Princeton is 10-8 all-time in the NCAA tournament.
- The Tigers posted a 13-3 record during the regular season?the first 13-win season since 1996. Princeton has been ranked No. 2 in the IWCLA Poll for five of the last six weeks.
WOMEN'S OPEN CREW

This week at EWARC Sprints (May 14)
Record 12-1, 6-1 Ivy
Highlights
- In the varsity eight race, Princeton crossed the finish line in a time of 6:42.8, followed by George Washington (7:03.2) in second and Fordham (7:04.6) in third. Georgetown finished in 7:28.4 for fourth place.
- The Tigers won the second varsity and second novice races, with the women's lightweight competing in both. The Orange and Black finished 1-2 in the varsity four event with George Washington taking second and third.
- Princeton will return to action on May 14, at the EWARC Sprints in New Preston, Conn.
WOMEN'S LIGHTWEIGHT CREW

Highlights
- In the lightweight four race, Princeton beat Georgetown by 15 seconds for the win. The Tigers finished in a time of 8:15.0, followed by the Hoyas at 8:25.6.
- The varsity eight competed in the second varsity open race, finishing second behind Princeton's open boat. The lightweight novice competed in the open novice race, finishing first.
- Princeton will return to action on May 14, at the EWARC Sprints in New Preston, Conn.
MEN'S HEAVYWEIGHT CREW

Record 8-2, 3-2 Ivy
Highlights
- Brown finished the varsity eight race in a time of 5:44.5, with the Tigers crossing the finish line in 5:52.3. Brown also won the second varsity race by three seconds (5:56.2 to 5:59.3). The Bears edged Princeton by three seconds in the first freshman race.
- Princeton won the third varsity race with a time of 6:17.6, with Brown being clocked in at 6:20.9. The Tigers also won the second freshman four race with a 7:25.2 finish.
- The Orange and Black will return to action on Sunday, May 21, at the EARC Sprints in Worchester, Mass.
MEN'S LIGHTWEIGHT CREW

Highlights
- In the varsity eight event, Princeton finished in a time of 5:48.8, followed by the Hoyas in second at 5:57.7. Princeton finished 1-2 in the junior varsity race as the second varsity finished in a time of 6:05.0 and the third varsity in a time of 6:11.8. Georgetown crossed the finish line in 6:18.2.
- The Tigers took first place in the first freshman race with a time of 6:06.9. Georgetown's two freshman boats finished in second and third.
- The Orange and Black will return to action on Sunday, May 21, at the EARC Sprints in Worchester, Mass.

- Paul Morrison (So., Chatham, Ont.) finished second in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:44.97 and qualified for the NCAA championships
- Scott Denbo (Jr., Nashville, Tenn.) finished first in the shot put with a throw of 60' 1"
- Dennis Norman (Jr., Marlton, N.J.) finished second in the discus with a throw of 176' 0" to qualify for the IC4A championships

- Catherine Casey (So., Maplewood, N.J.) finished first in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:13.14.
- Becca Desman (Jr., Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished first in the high jump with a leap of 1.78 meters.
- Erica Dickson (Jr., Mission Viejo, Calif.) won the triple jump with a mark of 12.14 meters and Becky Haarlow (Jr., Hinsdale, Ill.) was second with a distance of 11.51 meters.
- Nikola Holmes (Fr., Apple Valley, Minn.) finished first in the long jump with a distance of 5.73 meters.
