Dear Alumni and Friends,
Happy New Year to you! I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday full of good cheer!
I know the players enjoyed their two weeks off, but all good things come to an end! We spring back into action this weekend. Our top ten players leave for Trinity College today, Friday, January 5 to play in the National Five Man Team Championships. Twenty-seven teams from around the U.S. are entered and the competition looks like great fun! Cities as well as colleges can enter teams and our top five are seeded fourth behind Chicago (#1), NYC (#2), and Trinity College (#3). Both of our five man teams play on Friday at 3:00 P.M. at Trinity College. Our top five play Trinity's second team in the first round while our second five play Trinity's top team! On Saturday, it looks like both teams will play at 11:00 a.m. and possibly 5:00 p.m. I'm not positive about the Saturday times since they are based on our Friday results. There will be one final match on Sunday morning at a time to be determined.
We would love to have you join us if you can be in the area for any part of the weekend!
I remind you that the Alumni and Family Dinner is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 9 after the Dartmouth Match. It's a wonderful event that I encourage you and your family to attend. Please let me know how many, if any, of your family can attend the 6:00 p.m. reception, and 7:00 p.m. dinner following the 2:30 p.m. Dartmouth match. If you can, I recommend you stick around until Sunday to watch the showdown with Harvard at 3:00 p.m.!
