Weaver Track Hosts Golden Spike Tour Open

Elite and college level track and field athletes competed together in front of packed stands at the Golden Spike Tour Open during the Larry Ellis Princeton Invitational on May 12. Five-time Olympic medalist Marion Jones (pictured at left and below, with Marcus Ford-Bey of the men's track team), 2000 Olympic 400-meter hurdles and 4x400 relay gold medalist Angelo Taylor, 110-meter hurdles Olympic silver medalist Terrence Trammell and Olympic pole vault silver medalist Lawrence Johnson were just a few familiar faces to compete at the legendary invitational as part of the Golden Spike Tour Open.
