Cambridge, Mass. - Princeton clearly is the No. 2 team in men's collegiate squash. Just as clearly, Trinity is on a whole other level.
Princeton defeated every other squash power this season en route to an Ivy League championship and No. 2 ranking. In two tries with Trinity, however, Princeton was outscored 16-2.
The second 8-1 win came Sunday afternoon, when Trinity defeated Princeton to win its third straight national championship.
"It was close at some matches," said Princeton coach Bob Callahan. "We put up a good fight, but they are too strong."
Princeton's lone win came at No. 3, where Dan Rutherford was victorious.
