Hanover, N.H. - Princeton eased past Dartmouth 8-1 in men's squash Saturday, setting up a major showdown Sunday for the Ivy League championship.
Princeton will play at Harvard Sunday afternoon, and a Tiger win would give the Tigers the outright league championship for the second time in three years. Harvard, winner of 10 of the last 11 Ivy men's squash titles, defeated Princeton 5-4 a year ago after Princeton topped the Crimson 5-4 in 2000.
Should Princeton lose to Harvard, the Tigers would still get a share of the title if Harvard then lost to Yale next weekend. Princeton outlasted Yale 5-4 last Saturday.
Princeton prepped for the Harvard match by winning the top six and last two. The winners: Will Evans (3-1), David Yik (3-0), Dan Rutherford (3-1), Peter Kelly (3-0), Eric Pearson (3-0), Dent Wilkens (3-2), Rob Siverd (3-0 at No. 8) and Nathan Beck (3-1 at No. 9).
