Ivy Alumni Basketball Tournament Set For NYC This Weekend

Former Ivy League basketball players will join their former teammates to compete against former opponents in the annual Ivy League Alumni Basketball Tournament. The event will be held Saturday, April 13, at Basketball City on Pier 63 in New York. The tournament begins at 9 a.m.
All eight league member institutions will be represented by a Men's and Women's team.

A portion of event proceeds will be contributed to Warriors Basketball Program, a member of the Children's Aid Society dedicated to the development of student-athletes. The Warriors program aims to grow into a model for youth sports organizations that are attempting to integrate athletics, education and personal development.
Guest Speaking will be esteemed Sports Illustrated writer, and Ivy alumnus, Alexander Wolff, who will talk about his new book Big Game Small World (www.biggamesmallworld.com).

This web site will also provide them with all the details of the event, including hotel and travel arrangements, along with opportunity to interact with former teammates and rivals through message boards. This site is also open to coaches, Friends groups, and fans.
