Foster Leads Water Polo Past George Washington 23-11

Kevin Foster led the Tigers with five goals as the men's water polo team defeated the Colonials of George Washington, 23-11. Earlier in the day, Princeton slipped to Navy, 14-13. The Tigers now stand at 4-2 on the season.
Princeton took a 6-2 lead after the first quarter and then opened a 13-6 lead against the colonials by halftime. Foster scored all five of his goals in the first half and three within the first quarter. By the time the third quarter had ended, the Tigers had established a 18-8 lead. Freshman Gant Morgan played the entire game in goal for the Tigers and recorded eight saves.
In a wild game that saw a total of 29 ejections, the Tigers lost to the midshipmen of Navy, 14-13. The midshipmen opened a 9-8 lead at half time, but with four minutes remaining in the game the Tigers evened the score at 12-12. Navy scored at the 3:15 and 1:08 marks, taking a 14-12 lead and the Tigers were unable to answer. Navy went 8-for-9 on man-up situations.
"It was a tough game," says head coach Luis Nicolao. "We made some mistakes which they were able to capitalize on but we'll see them several more time this season and we're looking forward to the games.'
Robert Urquhart and Foster each had four goals in the Navy loss. Peter Sabbatini played the entire game in goal for the Tigers and recorded eight saves
