Philadelphia, Pa. - The Princeton wrestling team dropped its first dual meet of 2003, falling in a tight 20-17 contest at Drexel. Four Tigers produced wins, including No. 9 Greg Parker at 184 pounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome Drexel's early lead.
The Tigers led after one match, as Matt Fisher opened that night with an 11-6 win over John Caprio. Drexel would claim the next three matches, one by major decision, but John Knorring got Princeton back within three team points with a 9-1 win at 141 pounds. Both teams split major decisions over the next two matches, but Drexel clinched the match with a pair of close decisions in the next two matches.
Parker concluded the match with an 18-second pin of Pat Shufelt.
