Women's Swim Teams Takes H-Y-P Crown

Cambridge, Mass. - Four Princeton swimmers scored first-place finishes and several other Tigers scored points as Susan Teeter's squad held on to win the 2003 H-Y-P meet in Cambridge, Mass. Final scores from the two-day event had Princeton defeating Harvard 199-120 and downing Yale 217-102.
Entering Saturday's events with a comfortable lead, the Tigers went to business with Claire Pearson winning the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.59) early in the day. Chrissy Holland then led a 1-2-3 Princeton finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.46. Whitney Ryan and Lauren Rossi placed second and third in the event.
Sarah Fraumann won the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.11) and Molly Seto won the 100-yard butterfly (55.78) to cap Tiger victories on the day.
Harvard defeated Yale by a score of 194-124 to give them a second-place finish at this year's H-Y-P. Both Havard and Yale will travel to Princeton for this year's Ivy League Championship Meet which takes place Feb. 27-March 1.
The Tigers have now won 40 consecutive dual-meets and improves to 8-0 this season. The Tigers conclude their regular season with Columbia at DeNunzio Pool on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m.
