PRINCETON, N.J. - Jesse Gage won the 50 and 100 yard fly races to lead the Princeton men's swimming and diving team (5-0) to a 164-107 victory Friday night at Denunzio Pool. Princeton swept the top three spots in six of the 15 events to go on to the big win.
Princeton won the first seven events to take a solid lead, beginning with Stephen Fleming's win in the 100 yard back (51.55). Garth Fealey won the 100 yard breast in 55.97, and Gage followed up with his first win of the night (100 yard fly, 26.09).
Other winners for Princeton included Brian Ellis (1000 yard free, 9:39.12), Juan Valdivieso (200 yard free, 1:41.19), Gage (50 yard free, 20.51), Greg Glass (200 yard IM, 1:55.25), Brian Shue (200 yard fly, 1:51.03), Kevin Weiner (200 yard back, 1:51.96) and Chester Yarbrough (500 yard free, 4:34.38).
Princeton is finished with its regular season, and will next compete at the Eastern Championships from March 6-8.
