PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Greg Parker (Clifton Park, Pa.) earned a technical fall in 5:23, but that was one of the lone Princeton highlights as Rutgers won eight of 10 matches to defeat the Tigers 25-9 in Dillon Gym tonight. Senior Joe Clarke (Atlanta, Ga.) closed the match with a 12-4 win over Jonathon Rodriguez, but Rutgers was well ahead by that point.
Greg Austin gave Rutgers a quick 4-0 lead with a major victory over John Knorring, and Amir Khan followed up with a 9-5 win over Milo Adams to improve the lead to 7-0. Wins by Chris Ressa and Andrew Roy made the lead 13-0 by the time Parker, who has been ranked as high as No. 4 in various wrestling publications this week, took the mat for his win over Rudy Medini. Princeton will travel to Franklin & Marshall tomorrow.
