PRINCETON, N.J. - Eight players scored in two games for the men's water polo team as it defeated Johns Hopkins 12-3 and George Washington 19-4 for its 10th straight win and a 2-0 start at the ECAC Championships at Brown.
The Tigers, seeded fourth despite their perfect 8-0 record entering the tournament, opened the ECACs against Johns Hopkins last night. Peter Sabbatini made eight saves in goal while Dan McKenna and Chris Kelsch led the offense with three goals each. Reid Joseph and Princeton's leading scorer Dan Stover added two goals apiece while Mike McKenna and Victor Wakefield each had one.
Princeton kept its pace in Day 2 when it got off to a 10-2 first half start against George Washington. Gant Morgner played the entire game in goal, recording nine saves and two steals. Jacob Harter and Mike McKenna led all scorers with three goals, Reid had two and Wakefield chipped in one.
The Tigers are now 9-0 overall and 2-0 in the ECAC Championships. They look for their 10th straight win tonight when they play top-seeded Queens at 4:30 p.m.
