Johns Hopkins Rallies Past Men's Water Polo in Overtime

Princeton, N.J. - Seven Tigers scored goals, and Princeton held a four-goal lead in the fourth period, but could not hold on as No. 20 Johns Hopkins rallied to defeat the 11th-ranked Princeton men's water polo team 15-14 in overtime Friday night in Baltimore. Zach Beckmann led all Tigers with four goals in the game.
In addition to Beckmann's four goals, Princeton received three goals from Reid Joseph and two each from Nicholas Seaver and John Stover. Chris Kelsch, Mike McKenna and Jamal Motlagh all scored single goals. Scott Syverson made six saves in the first half, while Gant Morgner blocked seven shots in the second half, plus the two overtime periods.
Princeton continues its weekend tomorrow morning with a game against Salem International at 9:30 a.m., and a meeting with No. 13 Navy at 7 p.m.
