Men's Water Polo Downs Salem International, Falls to Navy in CWPA Play

Annapolis, Md. - Chris Kelsch scored four goals to spur the 11th-ranked Princeton men's water polo team to a 13-7 win over Salem International Saturday morning at Navy. In the evening, No. 13 Navy scored four fourth-quarter goals to rally to a 9-7 win over the Tigers.
In the morning's win, Kelsch led all Tiger scorers with four goals. Brendan Colgan, John Stover and Zach Beckmann all scored two goals in the win, while three others added a single goal. Gant Morgner made two saves in the opening half, while Scott Syverson stopped three shots in the second half.
Later in the day, Navy rallied from a 6-5 deficit entering the final period to post a 9-7 win over Princeton. Stover scored three goals in the win, while Beckmann added two. Gant Morgner made 11 saves in the game.
Princeton is now 14-8 overall and 6-3 in the CWPA one final league game remaining tomorrow afternoon at George Washington.
