Men's Squash Cruises To 9-0 Win In Home Opener

PRINCETON - One year ago, Mauricio Sanchez and Hesham El Halaby were classmates at the nearby Lawrenceville School, teaming to make it one of the top prep teams in the area. On Wednesday night, they teamed to lead the Princeton men's squash team to a 9-0 victory over a visiting Franklin & Marshall squad.
Sanchez and El Halaby teamed as the Nos. 1 and 2 players for the Tigers, who moved to 3-0 with the win. Princeton has won 26 of its 27 matches this season, including all nine Wednesday night. Included in the win were a pair of brothers, as both Scott and Tim Callahan and Hop and Townie Wells earned wins.
Princeton will battle Williams College Friday night at the Jadwin Squash Courts.
