
Stover an All-America in Water Polo

PRINCETON, N.J. - Princeton senior John Stover received All-America honors for the third time in his career when the American Water Polo Coaches Association named him an honorable mention All-America. Stover, who led the Tigers with 75 goals in 2005, was an honorable mention as a sophomore and a third-team member as a junior.
Stover's 75 goals put him atop the Princeton scoring charts for the third-straight season. In 2005 he became the all-time leading scorer in Princeton men's water polo history at 254 career goals, 14 more than second-place Kevin Foster.
Stover was named a first-team All-Southern player and a first-team All-Eastern Tournament selection. Stover was also an Academic All-Ivy selection for the second time in his career.
In 2004, Stover led Princeton in scoring with 72 goals. He was named first-team All-Southern and to the first-team All-Eastern tournament team. Stover was an honorable mention All-America last season and earned Academic All-Ivy honors this fall. He scored three goals at the NCAA Championships and was named to the second All-Tournament team.
