Men's Squash Sweeps Williams, F&M To Stay Unbeaten
December 02, 2007 | Men's Squash
The Princeton men's squash team completed a perfect home weekend with 9-0 wins over both Williams and Franklin & Marshall. Junior Kimlee Wong was perfect at No. 1, dropping only nine points in six games, and freshman David Letourneau also had a perfect day at the top of the lineup.
"We had a great day today," head coach Bob Callahan said after the sweep. "Williams is ranked sixth in the country and we played very well, very thorough. It is a great start to the season. Our 9-0 win over F&M also gave some new young players a chance to play as well."
The match of the day was at No. 8 in the Williams match, where Princeton freshman Philip Sopher found himself trailing two games to one after falling 10-8 in the middle game. Sopher came back to defeat Bernard Yaros with 9-2 and 9-5 wins in the final games.
Ed Casserley and Craig Matthews picked up their first career wins against Franklin & Marshall.
