Ten Tigers Honored as Winter Academic All-Ivy League Selections

Ten Princeton athletes, representing eight teams and four league champions, were honored as Academic All-Ivy League selections for the winter season.
The Academic All-Ivy League program recognizes five men and five women from each of the eight Ivy League schools each season. To be eligible, an athlete must have at least a 3.0 grade-point average, must be at least a sophomore and must be a significant contributor to his or her team.
The 10 Princeton selections are:
Justin Conway served as the team captain for the men's basketball team as a senior. The sociology major from Santa Fe, N.M. was also the team's top rebounder.
Justina DiFazio, an integral part of Princeton's Ivy League championship in women's swimming. She was a first-team All-Ivy Leaguer in three events, the 100 free, 200 free, and 800 free relay. DiFazio is a sophomore from Burlington, Ontario and has not yet declared a major.
Sobenna George also played an important role in Princeton women's swimming Ivy championship. The senior chemistry major from St. Augustine, Trinidad, was a second-team All-Ivy in two events, the 200 and 400 free relays.
Grant Goeckner-Zoeller became the eighth-leading scorer in Princeton men's hockey history and one of 12 Princetonians to reach the 100-point mark in his career, as a senior. He is a philosophy major from Los Angeles, Calif.
Meir Hasbani was a second-team All-Ivy choice in the 200 fly for the Ivy League champion men's swimming and diving team. The senior from Wilmette, Ill., is a chemical engineering major.
Casey Lockwood served as a team captain for the women's basketball team as a senior. The religion major from Ross, Calif., was also an honorable mention All-Ivy League selection.
David Nightingale was the Heps champion in the 3k and 5k, helping to lead Princeton to the Indoor Ivy League Heptagonal Championship. The junior from West Hartford, Conn., is majoring in politics.
Kim Pearce led the Princeton women's hockey team in scoring for the second-straight season and took home honorable mention All-Ivy honors, as well as third-team All-ECACHL honors. Pearce is a senior sociology major from Ottawa, Ontario.
Claire Rein-Weston completed her women's squash career at Princeton as part of a league and national championship. The english major from Seattle, Wash., was a first-team All-America and a first-team All-Ivy selection.
Landis Stankievech is a two-time member of the ECACHL All-Academic Team. The junior from Trochu, Alberta, is a mechanical & aerospace engineering major.
