Wrestling Drops Trio Of Matches At Stanford

Despite strong days from senior captain Marty Everin and freshman Daniel Kolodzik, the Princeton wrestling team dropped three matches in a quad at Stanford. Both Everin and Kolodzik won two matches apiece for the Tigers.
Princeton fell 47-4 to Oregon State, 32-10 to Portland State and 31-13 to Stanford. Marty Everin picked up a major decision against Oregon State and a decision against Portland State, while Kolodzik earned major decisions against both Portland State and Stanford. Princeton also got victories from Kurt Brendel (Portland State), Mike Alvarez (Stanford) and Stephen Turner (Stanford).
The Tigers were in a hole from the start, as they are forfeiting both the 133- and 141-pound weight classes now. Princeton will return home for an Ivy League doubleheader next Saturday at Dillon Gym; the Tigers will take on Harvard at 5:30 and Brown at 7:30.
