Jordan Culbreath Chats About Career, Health In Football/Squash TigerCast
November 05, 2009 | Football, Men's Squash
All-Ivy running back Jordan Culbreath talks about his current battle with aplastic anemia and his brilliant Princeton career, while coaches Bob Callahan (squash) and Dave Rackovan (football) also join the latest edition of TigerCast.
Culbreath, a unanimous first-team All-Ivy League running back and the 2008 Ivy League rushing champion, was expected to be the focal point of the Princeton offense this season. Instead, after two games when he never felt quite right, he was diagnosed with aplastic anemia and has spent significant time in facilities in both Princeton and Bethesda, Md. Culbreath was able to return to the sidelines this past weekend and was given the game ball after Princeton's 17-13 win over Cornell. He discusses both his current status and his remarkable career in the first interview of TigerCast.
Men's squash coach Bob Callahan joins the show to talk about Princeton's prospects for the upcoming season. After four straight Ivy League titles and trips to the national squash finals, Callahan has had to reload his roster after graduating three top seniors. Part of the reloading comes in the form of Todd Harrity, one of the top American recruits ever. Callahan also gives a brief look back at the incredible 2009 national final, a 6 1/2 showdown against Trinity.
Finally, football offensive coordinator Dave Rackovan joins TigerCast to talk about the progression of sophomore quarterback Tommy Wornham, and also to look ahead at the upcoming game against Penn, which has won five straight games and carries one of the strongest defenses in the nation.
