Men's Water Polo Falls on Last Second Goal at Hopkins

It took a while for things to get going in the game as just one goal was scored over the first quarter. Hopkins scored that goal to lead 1-0 after eight minutes but the Tigers outscored the Blue Jays in the second period to take a 5-3 lead
Hopkins outscored Princeton 5-3 in the third quarter to draw the game even at eight goals apiece entering the final period. In that period the team's traded goals before Johns Hopkins scored on the final possession with the last second goal.
Freshmen accounted for nine of Princeton's 10 goals with reigning CWPA Southern Rookie of the Week Matt Weber leading the way with three goals. He also drew three ejections in the loss. Drew Hoffenberg, Thomas Nelson and Kayj Shannon each added two goals. Tim Wenzlau scored one time and led all players with three assists.
The loss drops Princeton to 8-1 overall and 0-1 in the Southern Division. The Tigers continue their league weekend on Saturday with a 12 noon game at Navy and a 4 p.m. contest at George Washington.
