Princeton Finishes The Fall Ranked 56th In The Directors' Cup

The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup is intended to reward athletic programs with a commitment to broad-based participation and success.
Princeton University prides itself on both, which is why the Directors' Cup is always a huge source of pride for the Tigers.
Princeton has been the Ivy League's top finisher in 16 of the 18 years the Cup has been awarded. Year No. 19 is off to another strong start, as Princeton finished the fall season ranked first in the league and 56th in Division I.
Brown, in 91st, is the second-highest Ivy finisher in the fall.
The Directors' Cup awards points based on placings in NCAA championship competition.
Princeton received points in the fall for men's and women's cross country, field hockey and men's water polo (which reached the NCAA Final Four).
Princeton earned 108.5 points, which left the Tigers 0.5 points behind Rutgers and Purdue for 54th. Among the schools to finish just behind Princeton were Notre Dame, Nebraska, Vanderbilt and Auburn.
