Women's Hockey Team Blanked at #2 Cornell

Jillian Saulner scored the game's first two goals as she netted even strength goals in the first minute of the game and the second minute of the second period. Cornell then scored two goals in less than a minute at 7:42 and 8:26 to run its lead to 4-0. Cassanra Poudrier and Morgan Richardson scored those goals.
Cornell outshot Princeton 45-10 in the game and twice limited the Tigers to a single shot on goal in the first and third periods. Kimberly Newell made 41 saves in the Princeton goal. Olivia Mucha led Princeton with three shots on goal, while Rose Alleva added two shots on the Cornell net.
Princeton is now 2-3 overall and 0-3 in the ECAC. The Tigers will look to get back in the win column on Saturday at 3 p.m., when they visit Colgate.
