Men's Squash Earns Hard-Fought Sweep Of Williams To Move To 3-0
December 02, 2012 | Men's Squash
The match was not without drama, especially at the No. 8 position, where freshman Michael LeBlanc dropped a pair of tense games 11-9 and 16-14 to Chris Wilkinson. LeBlanc battled back to force a fifth, and he scored the key points late for an 11-9 win.
Fellow freshman Vivek Dinoda also had to work for a win at the No. 7 spot. He led 2-0 over Ryan Eagan, including an 11-9 win in the opener, but dropped an 11-8 game in the third. Dinodia bounced back in style, closing the match 11-3. Ash Egan split his first two games at No. 9, but he scored wins of 11-7 and 11-8 to close the match.
Even some of the 3-0 wins were challenging ones. Sophomore All-America Samuel Kang took the middle game at No. 3 by a 17-15 score, while classmate David Hoffman finished his match at No. 6 with a 13-11 win.
Senior Todd Harrity continued his perfect season with an 11-5, 11-8, 11-8 win at the top spot. Classmate Steve Harrington won three tight games at No. 5 to defeat Alec Greaves-Tunnell.
Princeton will get a strong test to conclude the 2012 portion of its schedule, as it hosts No. 6 Rochester Saturday at 1 p.m.
