No. 13 Men's Water Polo Defeats MIT and Harvard in Day Two Action

The No. 13 Tiger men's water polo team went a perfect 2-0 in day two action at the Princeton Invitational. After opening up Saturday's action with a 14-8 victory over MIT, Princeton wrapped up the day with a 13-7 win versus Harvard.
In both games, Princeton jumped out to a quick advantage and preserved its point cushion throughout the contest. Drew Hoffenberg led the Tiger offense with nine goals, including tying a career-high with six versus MIT. The sophomore also added pair of assists and tallied seven steals in day two action.
Versus MIT, junior Ben Dearborn played 16 minutes in goal and had three saves, while freshman Alex Gow made five saves and Brendan Byrne had one in the second half.
In game two versus Harvard, Gow earned his second start of the tournament. He made six saves, including several critical stops to prevent the Crimson from creating a momentum swing. The goalie also made five steals and dished an assist to earn the victory.
The Tigers will conclude the Princeton Invitational tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 9 versus No. 2 UCLA at 11:45 a.m.
