PRINCETON, N.J. (10/18/14) - The Princeton women's cross country teams finished sixth in the championship race and third in the open race at the 2014 Princeton Invitational at West Windsor Fields.
The Tigers earned 272 points in the championship race for sixth place. Sophomore Katie Hanss was the first across the line, finishing 26th with a 22:19. Freshman Lydon Kersting followed with a time of 22:40. Freshman Melissa Reed and junior Birdie Hutton both finished in 22:55 and freshman Melinda Renuart was one second back as the final scorer.
Virginia Tech's Sarah Rapp was the individual winner at 21:11 as her team finished in second place with 63 points. Villanova won the race with 58 points.
In the open race, the Tigers earned a third-place team score with 114 points. All five scorers finished in the top 50 led by freshman Madison Offstein who claimed 22nd place with a time of 23:40. Sophomore Jessica Ackerman was 30th at 23:45 and junior Summer Hanson was a few seconds back at 23:51. Senior Rachel Skokowski and freshman Delaney Miller rounded out the scoring at 24:06 and 24:10, respectively.
