Men's Squash Trio Earns All-America Honors
April 15, 2014 | Men's Squash
Juniors Samuel Kang and Tyler Osborne returned to the All-America team for the third time, while senior tri-captain Dylan Ward capped his remarkable Princeton career with his first All-America honor.
Both Kang and Osborne earned First-Team honors for the second straight season, while Ward was named to the Second Team.
Kang, an All-America Honorable Mention as a freshman, played No. 1 for Princeton and advanced to the national individual quarterfinals, where he fell to eventual champion Ali Farag.
Osborne was a Second-Team All-America honoree as a freshman; he battled through an injury-plagued season to reach the Round of 16 at the individual national championships before falling to the sixth seed.
Ward, who has won some of Princeton's biggest matches over the last three years, made his All-America debut this season after playing No. 3 for the Tigers. After a strong regular season, Ward reach his first Round of 16 at nationals and pushed Farag more than anybody else did until the national final; Ward held a game ball in the second before losing 11-6, 13-11, 11-6.
