No. 10 Princeton Men's Water Polo Set to Host 2015 Ivy Championships

This year's championship will feature three varsity programs (Brown, Princeton, Harvard) and five club teams (Dartmouth, Cornell, Columbia, Penn, Yale). Play begins Saturday with five club matches, culminating in the club championship at 4:30 p.m.
Princeton and Harvard open play on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 9 a.m. The winner of Princeton and Harvard will advance to the championship game at 3:30 p.m. with the loser falling to the third-place game at 2:15 p.m. Sunday's matches will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Tigers improved to 10-3 (3-0 CWPA) on the season with a hard-fought 6-4 victory over Bucknell last Saturday.
• Holding leads of 1-0 and 2-1 in the first half and 3-2 in the third quarter, Princeton held the Bison attack at bay, ultimately securing their first two-goal lead of the contest with just 15 seconds remaining in regulation.
• Jordan Colina led the Tigers with a pair of goals, while Ryan Wilson, Jovan Jeremic, Matt Payne, and Connor McGoldrick also got on the board.
• Turning in another solid performance, Princeton goalie Vojislav Mitrovic finished with 14 saves.
GETTING DEFENSIVE
• Vojislav Mitrovic helped lead the Tigers to a victory over Bucknell, turning away 14 of the 18 shots he faced.
• Mitrovic's effort against the Bison was his ninth double-digit save performance of the season.
• Logging 342:46 minutes this season, Mitrovic has posted a 9-3 record with a 0.587 save percentage.
• In 2014, Mitrovic went 18-3 with a 0.604 save percentage.
• His 253 saves as a rookie rank second all-time on the program's single-season charts.
• On Sept. 28, Mitrovic collected his fourth CWPA Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week honor.
• Mitrovic's DPOTW award was the third weekly honor earned by a Princeton player this season.

BALANCING ACT
• Each of the Tigers' 13 field players have recorded a goal and an assist this season.
• Thomas Nelson leads the way with 33 goals and 10 helpers.
• Jordan Colina is second on the team in goals (26), while also dishing out nine assists.
• Ryan Wilson has 22 scores and is tied for the team lead in helpers (17) with fellow freshman Michael Swart and senior Jamie Kuprenas.
• Jovan Jeremic has 15 goals and 12 assists in his 13 appearances, while Eric Bowen has collected 11 goals.
IVY CHAMPIONSHIP
• Last season, Princeton defeated Brown in the Ivy League championship game, 9-7.
• While the event is organized by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA), the name “Ivy Championship” is used with the permission of the Council of Ivy League Presidents (“The Ivy League”).
• Seeding is based on the order of finish among the varsity teams at the 2014 CWPA Championship, while the four competing club teams' seeding are based on their order of finish at the 2013 Ivy Championship combined with head-to-head regular season match-ups between the squads.
