BOX SCORE
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (11/28/15) - The Princeton women's hockey team earned a decisive 6-1 win over RIT this afternoon to take the series sweep. Princeton won yesterday's game 4-0.
Eleven players made the scoresheet with five players earning multiple-point games.
Junior Molly Contini scored two power-play goals while junior Morgan Sly tallied two assists. Senior Jaimie McDonell, junior Kelsey Koelzer and sophomore Kiersten Falck each scored a goal and an assist each.
Sophomore Alysia DaSilva made 19 saves to earn her second win of the season as the Tigers of New Jersey outshot the Tigers of New York, 42-20.
Falck got Princeton on the board just 1:34 into the game off a feed from Sly. On the doorstep, Falck faked right and then fired a low shot hove hole on Jenna de Jonge. Contini followed with a power-play goal, going high off a rebound from McDonell.
Contini scored the only goal of the second period, just seconds after RIT killed off a Reagan Rust checking call. Contini corralled a Sly rebound and beat de Jonge with a shot inside the right circle.
Taylor Thurston scored RIT's lone goal of the weekend at 11:03 of the third, but Princeton answered with three goals in the final six minutes. McDonell and Lloyd scored 2:13 apart and Koelzer added the final tally in the final second - on the power play.
Princeton was 3 of 6 on the power play and 4 for 4 on the penalty kill.
Now 7-4-1 overall, Princeton returns home and to ECAC action next weekend, Dec. 4 & 5, hosting Harvard & Dartmouth
