No. 11 Princeton Powers Past Gannon in Southern Championship Opener, 20-5

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The 11th-ranked Princeton University men's water polo team opened play at the 2015 CWPA Southern Championships with a decisive 20-5 victory over Gannon.
Matching the team's highest scoring output of the season, seven different Tigers found the back of the Golden Knights' cage.
Ryan Wilson got things going with a tally at the six-minute mark of the first quarter before back-to-back Thomas Nelson and Eric Bowen goals just 1:08 apart made it 3-0. With 25 seconds left in the quarter, Matt Payne added to the lead to make it 4-0.
Just 16 seconds into the second period, Nelson struck again before a Jordan Colina goal 27 seconds later padded the cushion. Continuing to push forward, Jovan Jeremic and Ryan Hammarskjold put away a pair of goals 22 seconds apart to extend the margin to 8-0.
With Princeton on top 12-3 at the half, Colina netted a pair of goals in a span of 27 seconds to push the lead to 11. Later up 16-5, the Tigers netted the game's final four tallies to cruise to a 15-goal margin of victory.
Bowen led the way with four goals and five drawn ejections, while Colina, Hammarskjold, Payne and Wilson each turned in a hat-trick. Nelson and Jeremic each chipped in with a pair of scores, while Michael Swart had four assists, three steals and two blocks. Bret Hinrichs dished out three helpers.
Getting the start, reigning CWPA Southern Defensive Player of the Week Vojislav Mitrovic made three saves. Taking over after the intermission, Ryan Melosini finished with 10 stops.
