Men's Water Polo Punches Ticket to Southern Final With 14-6 Win Over Navy

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Princeton University men's water polo team punched its ticket to the 2015 CWPA Southern Division Championship game with a 14-6 victory over the United States Naval Academy.
Dispatching of the Midshipmen for the third time this season, the Tigers extended their win streak to eight games. Improving to 18-4 on the year, Princeton will face the winner of Bucknell and Johns Hopkins in tomorrow's final scheduled for 2:20 p.m.
Holding a 4-2 lead after the first quarter, the Tigers netted four of the five goals scored in the second to take a five-goal lead into the intermission. Blowing the game open in the third, Princeton netted four unanswered to build a 12-3 cushion heading into the final frame.
Jovan Jeremic paced the Tigers' attack with four goals on six shots. Ryan Wilson had three goals, two assists, and two steals, while Thomas Nelsonand Matt Payne each netted a pair of scores. Jordan Colina turned in a hat-trick, while Michael Swart chipped in with a goal and a steal.
Playing 28:21 minutes, Vojislav Mitrovic collected 14 saves. Logging the final 3:39 in net, Ryan Melosini made a pair of stops.
