Jan. 7 TigerCast: Courtney Banghart & Sean Wilkinson
January 07, 2016 | General, Men's Squash, Women's Basketball
As they both enter their Ivy League openers this weekend, women's basketball head coach Courtney Banghart and men's squash head coach Sean Wilkinson join the first edition of TigerCast in 2016.
Banghart, who has led Princeton to five Ivy titles over the last six years — including the historic 30-0 season last year, has guided the Tigers to an 11-3 start this season. The Tigers have four returning starters from a team that reached the NCAA second round in 2015, but they also recognize that they will take everybody's best shot now that the Ivy season opens. Banghart discusses the early successes this season and what it will take to claim another Ivy title this winter.
Wilkinson is in the process of rebuilding the men's squash team, and he has a strong foundation right now with three freshmen who have played the top three spots early this season. While the Tigers have suffered through some tough 5-4 losses, they have a chance to start fresh with Ivy League action starting Saturday. They'll open at Dartmouth, which leads the league after its first win over Harvard in more than 70 years.
