Men's Squash Falls To Drexel, Will Close Team Season Sunday vs. GW
February 28, 2016 | Men's Squash
Freshman William Oon gave the Tigers their lone win with a gritty 3-2 comeback win at the No. 7 spot. Trailing 2-1, he scored wins of 11-8 and 11-7 to take out Noel Solomon and claim the win.
Princeton, which had to play without injured No. 2 player Spencer Anton, put up a good battle, pushing six matches to four games and a thriller at No. 2 to five, but Drexel was able to win the important points en route to the win.
Freshman Cody Cortes took classmate Anton's spot at No. 2 and had a wild showdown with Ibrahim Bakir. Trailing 2-1, Cortes won an 11-9 fourth game, and then pushed into extra points before falling 12-10 in the fifth.
