Stone, Liu Share Suburban Transit/GoPrincetonTigers Weekly Honors

Senior saber Gracie Stone and freshman épée Charlene Liu will share Suburban Transit/GoPrincetonTigers.com weekly honors after each made the NCAA final in her respective weapon at the NCAA championships over the weekend, where the Tigers finished third as a team.

Stone earned her fourth All-America honor, joining her sister Eliza '13 as the only Princeton women's sabers to earn four All-America recognitions. She won 18 of 23 pool bouts to earn the second seed before defeating St. John's' Mathilda Taharo 15-8 in the semifinals. Harvard's Adrienne Jarocki defeated Stone 15-10 in the final.

Liu made the final in her first NCAA championship appearance, leading the women's épée field with 20 round-robin wins in 23 tries to earn the top seed. She got past Ohio State's Eugenia Falqui in the semifinal 13-8 before Penn State's Jessie Gottesman-Radanovich won 15-10 in the final.
