Princeton Ranks 20th In Learfield Directors' Cup After Winter Season

2015-16 Learfield Directors' Cup Standings (After Fall and Winter)
Princeton finished the winter season tied for 20th in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings. Princeton, who is tied with Louiville, is the highest ranked team fro a non-Power Five conference.
In fact, of the top 48 teams, there are 47 from the Football Bowl Subdivision. Only Princeton is from the FCS. Princeton is the only Ivy League school in the top 50.
Princeton trails five Pac 12 schools, five Big Ten schools, six ACC schools, two SEC schools and only Big 12 school.
The Directors' Cup recognizes the best overall athletic departments through a points system based on NCAA championship participation and success.
Princeton received points in the winter from women's basketball, men's and women's fencing, women's hockey, men's swimming and diving, women's indoor track and field and wrestling.
This is the 23rd year of the Directors' Cup, and Princeton has finished in the top 50 19 of the first 22 times the Cup has been awarded. Princeton was 41st in 2014-15. Princeton has never finished lower than 63rd.
Princeton has also been in the Top 40 15 times in 22 years. There have been five Top 30 finishes, with an all-time best of 21st in 2001-02.
