Incoming Squash Standouts Morgan, Raghavan Head To World Junior Championships

"This is an incredible opportunity to play in both the individual and team competitions at an event of this magnitude," Wilkinson said. "They have both earned this opportunity, and I'm excited to see how they compete in Poland. They are going to raise the level of our program as soon as they arrive on campus, and this is an incredible final event for them to play before they put on the Orange and Black."
Morgan, a member of Team USA, received a first round bye in the individual portion of the event and will take on the winner of the Rahul Sehrawat-Nicholas Joughin winner in the second round. Raghavan will play Abedalkader Jeitan in the first round. You can follow the individual draw, which takes place Aug. 6-11, here.
The team competition takes place Aug. 12-17. Below are the bios for both Morgan and Raghavan.
Gabriel Morgan
Menlo Park, Calif. • Menlo School
Before Princeton — member of the U.S. Squash National Junior Men's Team … won the 2012 U.S. national championship, becoming the first player from California to do so … played for Team USA at the 2015 World Junior Championships in the Netherlands, and will compete this summer in Poland for Team USA; placed in the Top 30 in the Netherlands individually, and defeated the ninth-ranked World Junior player 16-14 in the fifth game … has been consistently ranked in the Top 5 in his age class, including #1 in U15; currently #5 in the U19 division … competed in the 2014 British Junior Open … represented Team USA three times in the "Battle of the Border" and never lost … won several US Junior Championship Tour events … started for the Menlo boy's tennis team, one of the top-two ranked programs in the nation … three-time U.S. Squash Scholar-Athlete honoree and U.S. Squash All-American … two-time recipient of the Junior Olympian of the Year award at The Olympic Club.
Personal — born Oct. 28, 1997 … son of Wendy and M. Reynolds … has an older brother Arthur … enjoys tennis, golf and surfing … considering studying Economics at Princeton.
Wilkinson on Morgan: We have had our eye on Gabriel for a couple of years now, and are absolutely thrilled that he's going to be wearing Orange and Black in the fall. Adhitya Raghavan

Before Princeton — member of India's National Junior Men's Team … won the U15 and U17 National Junior Championship and ranked atop his age group nationally … reached the semifinal at the U15 British Junior Open and the quarterfinal of the U17 British Junior Open … competed in the 2015 World Junior Championships in the Netherlands, as well as three times in the Asian Junior Open … won the U15 French Junior Open … two-time quarterfinalist in the U17 Asian Junior Open … also competed in soccer and volleyball for his school.
Personal — born Feb. 1, 1999 … son of Raghavan Alagarsamy and AkalyaJothi Raju … has a younger brother Shreemann Raghavan, who has won titles in both the Salem Junior Open and the Andhra Pradesh Junior Open … enjoys reading, music and playing soccer/cricket … considering studying Mechanical and Aerospace Enginnering.
Wilkinson on Raghavan: Adhitya is a brilliant kid. He's exactly what we want in our locker room. He's super talented on court, works hard, and will really add to the Princeton community. He brings a ton of international experience, a different perspective, and he's such a tremendous squash player. We can't wait to get him here training with the team.
