Princeton Claims 2nd Men's Squash Team Sportsmanship Honor In Last Four Seasons

For the second time in the last four years, the Princeton men's squash team was honored with the Sloane Award, the top team sportsmanship award given at the CSA team championships.

The award — named for Sean Sloane, a longtime coach at Williams College — was presented to Princeton prior to Sunday's final match of the Hoehn Cup draw. It is the fourth time Princeton has won this prestigious honor, including the second under Sean Wilkinson; the Tigers also won the honor in 2014.

"I'm proud that Princeton has been honored with the Sloane Award for Sportsmanship once again," head coach Sean Wilkinson said. "I have been proud of the class and effort that our players have brought to the court all season. They understand what it means to represent both this program and Princeton University in the proper way, and they have done so while competing at the highest level against the best teams in our sport."

Princeton, which won four of its last six matches and showed dramatic improvement against several Top-10 programs since last season, will now await the announcement of the individual draws; the CSA individual championships will be held March 3-5 at Dartmouth College.
