The Varsity Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (VSAAC) is continuing its sponsorship of an initiative to
celebrate and promote diversity and inclusion in Athletics. The initiative, entitled "All Stripes One
Streak," acknowledges that Tigers of all stripes and all types are included in the streak (the name for a
group of Tigers).
The main purpose of All Stripes One Streak is to demonstrate support across all Princeton varsity teams
for the core values of diversity, inclusion, and respect, and to spark meaningful conversations on teams
and beyond about how to embody and promote these values. All student-athletes should feel welcome
and safe on their teams, just as all students should feel welcome and safe on campus.
All Stripes One Streak is using two hashtags - AllStripes and OneStreak - to promote awareness to
share updates and reactions during the women's basketball game, Tuesday, February 13th at 6:30 pm.
Using the Instagram account "princetonvsaac", the committee began highlighting current and former
student-athletes to engage and spark meaningful conversations about diversity and inclusion. In
addition, the VSAAC kicked off their initiative last Tuesday before the men's basketball game. Varsity
first year student-athletes from various teams were invited to have conversation and write statements
on a large white board about what diversity and inclusion means to them and their teams.
The women's basketball team will kick off Tuesday night's activities by wearing All Stripes One Streak tshirts
for their warm-ups. VSAAC members will be continuing the conversation with fellow studentathletes
prior to game and will have the white board available to memorialize more statements. During
halftime, VSAAC members will share their message of support and demonstrate how it aligns with the
core values of Princeton Athletics. The core values embodied by Princeton student-athletes are
Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Growth-Mindedness, Engagement and Respect. The VSAAC
members will display the white board and hope to promote meaningful discussion not only amongst
teams but across campus and beyond.
The Varsity Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (VSAAC) is a representative group of student-athletes
that is appointed to serve in an advisory capacity to the Director of Athletics. This committee meets on a
regular basis to discuss matters related to student-athlete welfare, administrative policy and other
important issues related to the experience of student-athletes.
