Kuffner Named ECAC Player of the Week & NCAA 1st Star of the Week

Princeton junior Ryan Kuffner was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week and was named the NCAA Hockey First Star of the Week. In addition he captured GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, presented by Coach USA.
Kuffner led the nation in scoring this week with six goals and three assists in three games, averaging 3.00 points per game. He scored two game-winning goals and had a hat trick while finishing +5. On Tuesday in 5-3 win at Quinnipiac, Kuffner scored twice, including the game winner and chipped in one assist. He recorded his first career hat trick on Friday scoring the game winner in overtime as Princeton topped St. Lawrence 5-4, while adding an assist. On Saturday against No. 3 Clarkson he had the primary assist on the game-winning goal in the third period and scored the team's first goal of the game in the first period.
Kuffner currently ranks second in the nation in goals per game.
Princeton returns to action this weekend, Fbe. 9 & 10 at Brown & Yale.
