Camren Fischer, Conor Lundy and Melia Chittenden will represent the Princeton cross country teams at the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind., on Nov. 23, the NCAA announced Saturday.
Fischer and Chittenden were automatic qualifiers as one of the top four runners not on one of the two teams that advanced automatically out of the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional held Friday at Lehigh. Fischer, a freshman, became the first Tiger since Donn Cabral '12, in 2011, to win an NCAA Regional, Lundy finished sixth overall as the third runner not on one of the two automatically advancing teams, Chittenden finished eighth overall in her race to stand as the fourth runner not on one of the teams finishing in the top two spots.
While Fischer will make his first appearance at the NCAA Championships, Lundy will make his fourth. His highest finish was 67th as a sophomore in 2017. It'll be Chittenden's second NCAA finals appearance, as she was part of the Tigers' full-team trip last year and finished 147th in the 255-runner race.
