Dartmouth Edges Princeton 5-4 In CSA Finale
February 17, 2019 | Men's Squash
Playing without injured starter Duncan Joyce, the Princeton men's squash team dropped its final match at the CSA team championships 5-4 to Dartmouth and will finish eighth in the team standings for the second consecutive year.
Freshman Daelum Maji put an exclamation point on the brilliant finish to his debut season with a 3-0 win at the #3 position, and Gabriel Morgan picked up his team-best 14th victory of the year during the middle shift to keep Princeton alive heading into the final matches.
Princeton put on a display of resilience and fight during that final shift that nearly pulled off one final thriller of the season. Junior Henry Parkhurst started the run with a 3-1 win at #7, and classmate Adhitya Raghavan added a 3-0 win at the #1 spot.
Sophomore Alex Engstrom, who posted a number of critical wins during the season, split a pair of 11-9 games in the opener, but he dropped the final two to close the match.
