Adhitya Raghavan Earns All-Ivy League Honor For Second Time
February 20, 2019 | Men's Squash
Junior Adhitya Raghavan, who posted one of the biggest victories of the college squash season when he knocked off Penn's Andrew Douglas in Jadwin Gym, earned All-Ivy League recognition for the second time in his career when he was voted by the league coaches to the 2019 team. Raghavan played the #1 position for a Princeton team that posted one of the most dramatic finishes in the sport.
Raghavan won six matches at the #1 spot this season, though four of them came in Ivy League play. He was clearly at his best in the second half of the season, a stretch that began with his marathon upset of Douglas in late January. He added victories over Dartmouth and Cornell during the final eight days of the season; the latter proved to be the decisive victory in a 5-4 win at Cornell that helped Princeton return to the top flight of the CSA team championships.
Raghavan now has 22 collegiate wins over his career while playing either #1 or #2 for the majority of his Princeton career.
